Plum is the new black according to the owls (off the wall ladies). I've been featured with some other lovely delicious plum finds from Etsy. Thank you to LoveAlisa for letting me know.

Etsy Trends

This is a new blog, that has been created by Chantelle www.becial.etsy.com. what is really cool is that she is using the Pantone Color selections for Spring 2009. She is then combing Etsy to find pieces that fit in with this seasons colors.

I personally am thrilled to have a bracelet selected for Super Lemon. Check out the Etsy Trends blogspot. I'm not sure how Chantelle is affiliated with Etsy or even if there is an connection. I am happy that she took the initiative to develop a blog that looks at color trends. Its better than attempting to force a trend (Etsy, wake up).

St.Baldrick's Day

You all know that I donate 10% of the profits of the jewelry to Specially for Children in Austin, Texas. This is done in honor of Olivia, who is battling brain cancer (medullablastoma)and winning.

Her mom recently sent out an email, and gave me permission to share it. So here it goes:

Dear friends and family,
On Saturday 21st March, 2009 we will be shaving our heads at Dell Children's Hospital in Austin at the St. Baldrick's event (yes, it includes Nycki) As you all know Olivia had a tumor removed from her brain in January 2007, followed by radiation and chemotherapy which concluded in June 2008. The official name was medullablastoma. She is now in remission and providing no new tumors show up, will be cancer free in June 2012. We are shaving our heads in honor of Olivia and her brave fight.

Funds raised go toward cancer research - since 2000 St Baldrick's has raised over $50 million dollars for the cause.
